Your SoundCloud link
is not going to
share itself.

A link gets scrolled past. A video gets watched.

Posting a SoundCloud link to your story does almost nothing, because there is nothing to look at. Drop the same track in here, pick a style, and export a vertical video that plays in the feed with your artwork on it. Then the link has something to ride on.

01How it works

Three steps to a video.

01

Made for the feed

Vertical 1080p 60fps, which plays properly in stories, Reels, TikTok, and Shorts. The place people actually find new music, rather than a link they have to tap through.

02

Your artwork, your colours

Put your cover art behind the visualiser and set accent colours to match. The clip reads as your release rather than a generic template.

Cut to the best bit

Trim to the section worth hearing. A fifteen-second clip of the drop does far more for a link than three minutes starting from the intro.

What matters

Why posting a SoundCloud link does almost nothing

A link asks someone to leave the app they are in. Almost nobody does.

The ask is bigger than it looks

Dropping a SoundCloud link on your story feels like promotion, but look at what it asks of someone: stop scrolling, tap a link, wait for a browser or another app to open, then decide whether to listen. Each of those steps loses most of the people who saw it.

Platforms make it worse on purpose. Links out are exactly what a feed algorithm is built to discourage, so a post whose whole point is a link tends to get shown to fewer people to begin with.

Video changes the ask

A short visualiser clip inverts it. The music plays where the person already is, with no tap and no wait. They hear the track first and decide afterwards whether they care enough to follow a link.

That is the right order. The link stops being the thing you are asking for and becomes the thing people go looking for once the track has already done its job.

What to actually post

Keep it short and start on the strongest section. Fifteen to thirty seconds of the drop does far more than three minutes beginning at the intro, because the first two seconds decide whether the rest gets heard at all.

Put your artwork or your own footage behind the visualiser so it reads as your release, export vertical, and put the SoundCloud link in the caption or as a sticker. The clip earns the attention; the link just needs to be there for the people who want it.

Questions?

Still stuck? joel@beatvisualiser.com

Can I import a track straight from SoundCloud?+
Not by URL. Upload the audio file itself, which is the same WAV or MP3 you uploaded to SoundCloud. Everything then renders locally on your machine.
Why make a video for a SoundCloud track at all?+
Because a bare link does not perform in a feed. Stories, Reels, TikTok, and Shorts are all video-first, so a link with nothing to watch gets scrolled past. A short visualiser clip gives the track something to be seen with.
What format should I export for stories?+
Vertical 9:16, which is the default here. Exports are 1080p 60fps MP4 with no watermark.
How long should the clip be?+
Fifteen to thirty seconds is usually enough to sell a track. Use the trimmer to start on the strongest section rather than the intro.
Do I need to install anything?+
No. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc, and the export downloads straight to your machine.
Is my unreleased music safe?+
Yes. Nothing is uploaded to a server. The render happens in your browser, so the file never leaves your computer.
Ready?

Your track deserves a better visual than a waveform screenshot.

Drop your audio. Have a video ready to post in under a minute.
