Three steps to a video.
Same file, no re-export
Drop in the exact WAV or MP3 you uploaded to SoundCloud. No conversion, no bouncing again, no separate project to manage.
Every style, one track
Spectrum, waveform, spinning vinyl, oscilloscope, spectrogram, chladni, a 3D chrome orb, your own model, kaleidoscope, or a split layout combining them. Try a few and keep what suits the tune.
Built for the feed
Vertical 1080p 60fps by default, with a trimmer so you post the fifteen seconds that sell the track rather than the intro. Your artwork and colours on it.
Which visualiser style suits your track
The style is not a cosmetic choice. A heavy tune and an ambient one want opposite things, and the wrong pick makes a good track look careless.
Match the density of the visual to the density of the mix
The most reliable rule: busy tracks want simpler visuals, sparse tracks can carry busier ones. A dense, loud mix behind an intricate kaleidoscope reads as noise, because two things are competing for the same attention.
For heavy or club-oriented material, the spectrum analyser, spectrum bars, or a chrome orb tend to work, because they have a clear focal point. For ambient, melodic, or sparser tracks, chladni patterns and the split-mode kaleidoscope have room to breathe.
Decide what the post is actually about
The other question is what you want the viewer looking at:
- The release: use vinyl, or the waveform shape and overlay styles, which put your artwork at the centre.
- The sound itself: use the analyser, linear waveform, or spectrogram, which are readable and technical.
- The mood: use the orb, kaleidoscope, or chladni, where nobody is meant to read anything specific.
- Your own footage: use the overlay pill or any style with a video background, so the visual sits on top rather than replacing it.
Consistency beats variety
It is tempting to use a different style for every upload because they are all one click away. Resist it. A SoundCloud catalogue promoted with eight unrelated visual styles reads as eight different artists.
Pick one or two styles and one accent colour, and keep them across a release cycle. Save the variety for when you are genuinely changing direction. The tool makes switching cheap, which is useful for finding your look at the start and a trap once you have found it.
